A poem on the complicated relationship between love and hate.
So great are these feelings of hate.
Crying, pounding, searing through my veins,
It seems only love can sate.
You tease and torment, it’s me you bait.
The tears used to fall like rain.
So great are these feelings of hate.
Were we brought together by fate?
Who’s entertained by one causing the other pain.
It seems only love can sate.
Clashing violently, with no set date,
Yet neither of us have been slain.
So great are these feelings of hate.
The words I’m ready to say come late.
I’m through thinking about results and gain.
It seems only love can sate.
Forever we may have to wait,
Held together by iron chain.
So great are these feelings of hate.
It seems only love can sate.
